The new features of ELECTRIX ROCKET Update 1 in detail

1. Significantly improved P&ID technology

Automatic connection of symbols: Experience the convenience of automatically connected symbols in P&ID, which makes manual line drawings redudant. This feature increases efficiency and precision design.

Advanced property assignment: Now you can assign specific properties such as medium, pressure, material and diameter to your connections, resulting in more accurate and meaningful P&ID diagrams.

New ‘Pipe list report’: Generate comprehensive lists with the above properties for detailed and comprehensive design and documentation.

Real-time scaling of symbols: Design diagrams that reflect the real size relationship – your schematic becomes an exact image of the installation.

2. Interface to OpenPDM

Advanced PDM/PLM integration: Seamlessly connect WSCAD ELECTRIX ROCKET with leading PDM/PLM systems such as Aras Innovator, Dassault 3DExperience, Oracle Agile ePLM and others. Manage projects and parts efficiently in your preferred system environment.

Versatile project functionalities: Use functions such as check-in/check-out, version control, transfer of PDF files and parts lists as well as synchronization of part data to optimize your workflows and ensure data integrity.

3. Optimized PHOENIX PROJECT complete interface

Comprehensive wire information: Export now all relevant data of your routed wires on the cabinet diagram pages, including wire length, for seamless integration into the PHOENIX Wire Marking Application Centre. Save time by directly transferring all the necessary information.

Multilingualism: When exporting for PHOENIX PROJECT complete, choose from all the languages into which your project has been translated.

4. Improvements of the Kiesling Perforex interface

A more efficient interface: With the new interface, 95% of the data required for the Perforex machine can be transferred directly from WSCAD ELECTRIX ROCKET. Only the tool numbers must be entered in the Perforex software.

5. User-defined counting variables for Project Wizard

With the user-defined counting variables, you can flexibly adapt your counting methods, e.g. for numbering IO bytes and bits as well as multi-level terminals, and thus significantly optimize macro management. This function allows you to create specific numbering patterns in your project.

Some examples of how you can use this function:

Individual, independent incrementing for each equipment indicator category
You can define multiple variables that start the count at 1, and continue as 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and so on. This allows you to define a separate counting sequence for each resource indicator category (-F, -Q, -M, etc.). For example:

  1. <#[number]>
    Generates the numbering 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and so on.
  2. <#[value]>
    Creates the numbering 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and so on.

Repeating number ranges
You can repeat number sequences in a defined range. This is ideal for cyclical patterns where a fixed number of values are repeated.
For example:

  1. <#[Var]{0-3}>
    Creates the sequence 0, 1, 2, 3, 0, 1, 2, 3, 0, 1, 2, 3, and so on.
  2. <#[value]{a-d}>
    Generates the sequence a, b, c, d, a, b, c, d, a, b, c, d, and so on.

Repetition of individual numbers with subsequent incrementing
Certain numbers can be repeated several times before moving on to the next value.
For example:

  1. <#[Test]{0:3}>
    Generates the sequence 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, and so on.
  2. <#[Var]{c:2}>
    Generates the sequence c, c, d, d, e, e, f, f, and so on.

These customizable counting variables provide tremendous flexibility for project design and can be used in a variety of use cases to increase efficiency and accuracy.

6. ELCAD material import

Seamless integration of ELCAD data: Easily import parts lists, terminal diagrams and connection data from ELCAD into WSCAD ELECTRIX ROCKET. Use the option to create your enclosure layout including 3D view in WSCAD and automate your enclosure production using the extensive interfaces.
