Innovations
- AI and machine learning now facilitate the automation of 2D electrical cabinet layout generation from existing schematics, significantly reducing design time for electrical engineers. Settings which enable this function can be found under Tools | Settings (Options | AI | Standard Cabinet Model. Key features include the ability to generate new cabinet layouts by simply selecting the EE pages in the Project Explorer and choosing Generate Cabinet (Beta) from the context menu, create and manage tailored AI models (Tools | Automatic | Train Cabinet AI-Model (beta)), and intelligently add components to existing pages.
- In the Multilingual Editing dialog as well as in the lexicon and post-processing panel, project texts can be translated into all listed languages using the new AI Translation Existing texts will not be overwritten
- Path macros inserted via AI Copilot are now automatically positioned sequentially, similar to the behavior of the Project Wizard. The left page margin defined in the settings is respected.
- Numerous new placeholders for wire names are now available. They can be used to output detailed information about internal/external terminal connections, the sheet path and page, and the connection’s source and target (with or without structure identifiers).
- In the Generate Wire Name dialog, in formula mode, there are the new parameter filters “Wire Type”, “Routing Tag”, “Wire Name” and “Part” and the new operators “Starts with”, “Does not start with”, “Contains” and “Does not contain”. In addition, you can now use the plus button in the designation formula to select parameters from a list instead of having to enter them manually.
- By pressing the B Push button, you can determine the distance from the cursor to a second selected point. The distance is only displayed when the second point is clicked. This new functionality applies to all disciplines, including EI.
- The new context menu command Material Explorer of an element jumps directly to this element in the Material Explorer. If multiple elements are selected, the function is deactivated.
- On EI pages as well as on PI pages, several selected symbols can be rotated at any angle using the context menu and aligned parallel or right angled to a freely definable line.
- Elements can be mirrored horizontally and vertically using the red crosshair of the mouse pointer. Using the Ctrl key, the element is not only mirrored, but the original element also remains in its Proximity sensors.
- Support for standardized line types according to ANSI/ISA-5.1-2009 (Table 5.3.2) has been added. For example, 11 new line patterns can now be selected in the WSCAD settings under P&I Diagram, which are defined under Display | Lines.
- AI Copilot can import parts from wscaduniverse.com directly into ELECTRIX AI 2026 via the part number, e.g. with the command “Import part 134X1475 from wscaduniverse”.
- When outputting reports to Excel or ASCII, all project placeholders and general placeholders are supported and filled as output fields.
- The Material Explorer also lists additional parts and combination parts for pin and socket contacts.
- On Cabinet pages, a tape measure with adjustable units can be added using the new menu command Insert | Dimension | Tape Measure. The coarse and fine division as well as the display of the measuring tape can be set in its properties dialog.
- In the properties dialog of a macro, you can use the new menu item Linked Macros to link other macros to this macro, e.g. macros from other discipline.
- The new setting General | Work Direction | Vertical diagram aligns the contact comb to the right page margin for ladder schematics. This alignment is maintained even when the coil is moved horizontally, and the symbol’s “Comb position” property is respected.
General
- The opened project can only be saved as WSCAD ELECTRIX AI 2026 (Version 2026) and WSCAD ELECTRIX AI (version 2025). Save as WSCAD ELECTRIX ROCKET (Version 2024) is no longer possible.
- Inserting images or graphics into the AI Copilot input field is not possible.
- If you set a margin for all pages of a text box in the Properties dialog under Border, the text will wrap correctly at the set margin.
- If you change the size of a component box, new connections can then be set correctly.
- The F9 key can be used to set the coordinate zero point correctly at the cursor Proximity sensors.
- The display of the structure identifiers on a structure area does not extend into the structure area for any of the alignment options.
- When cutting and pasting a structure area, the ref. names already present on the page are correctly taken into account.
- Newly added connections are correctly incremented using the Generate Wire Name
- Transferring the adjustments multiple times using the brush icon buttons also works correctly with cross-references.
- In the “Retouch Image” dialog box, the entire imported PDF can be displayed, enlarged, and reduced. Rectangles allow you to retouch content correctly, even if the page is scaled.
- Quick Search also works correctly when switching to a different Windows display language.
- If you delete all subprojects from the “Subprojects” folder, the context menu of this folder can then be opened correctly.
- If a vertical working direction is set in the WSCAD settings under General and a vertical alignment is also set in the page, the contact comb is displayed correctly to the right of the coil.
- When zooming in on a locked page, the lock symbol displayed retains its size.
- The lock symbols (locks for ref. name numbering and material list) are also displayed on CE and EI symbols.
Projects in the network
- In a network project, pasting a copied section multiple times works correctly.
- In a network project, symbols can be searched for using the Quick Search, even if the Symbol Explorer is updated in the meantime.
Macros
- If you generate macros from the macro areas in the macro template project, the plus sign will no longer appear in the Macro Explorer for macros without macro variants.
- In the macro template project, when placing a macro into a macro area, the ref. name from the macro is correctly transferred to the ref. name placeholders with a counter variable.
- In the WSCAD settings under View | Colors Elements, the frame color of a macro area in a macro template project is no longer overwritten by the color setting of the free graphic.
- After creating and saving a path or page macro, the Macro Editor can be closed correctly.
Explorer and Editors
- If you select the Show Selection function in one of the editors, the element remains marked with a pin until another element is selected in the tree view.
- If you copy a cell in the Lock Material List column in the Quick Editor, the checkbox adjustment can be successfully inserted into other cells in the column.
- In the macro editor, multiple elements can be correctly copied with Ctrl+C and pasted with Ctrl+V.
- In the frame editor, when copying a placed ladder placeholder, the placeholder is displayed correctly in the cursor preview.
Managers and Browsers
- If you enter a part in the PLC Manager for a PLC Parent, the comment texts are retained.
- The Housing Unit Manager opens correctly, regardless of whether EI pages are created in the project or not.
Import and Export
- If you define an indication range when importing a DXF file, the elements can then be placed correctly in the grid.
- Exporting to PDF with revision management enabled works correctly.
Part Management
- In the part management, it is again possible to import parts from a CSV file.
- When selecting a MySQL part database in the WSCAD settings, the required login data can be entered correctly.
- All supported part database formats can be imported into a configured MySQL 8.4 part database.
Interfaces
- If you import an XML file several times in a row into PHOENIX CLIP PROJECT planning, all additional parts of the terminal strips are imported correctly each time.
- With Phoenix PROJECT complete planning Export, terminal accessories such as cover plates are exported correctly.
- If the cables are deselected when exporting the reference labels to the Wago printer, they will not be printed.
- If the checkboxes under Print Ref. name are deactivated when exporting the terminal labeling to WAGO Smart Script, no ref. names will be output.
CE module (Cabinet Engineering)
- If you drag a frame over a complete terminal strip on a CE page without marking the corresponding ref. name, all terminals will still be marked.
BA module (Building Automation)
- Apostrophes are also supported in the BA data point keys.
