Your engineers make the real decisions in the first hour. They spend the rest of the day documenting them.

ELECTRIX OS is Engineering Intelligence: a layer above your electrical CAD that turns objectives, standards and constraints into a proposed design. Your engineers review and approve it. Schematics and documentation are generated from what they approve.

01 – The wrong target

The industry is racing to make drafting faster. The real problem is that engineering still gets drafted at all.

Nearly every E-CAD vendor is shipping an AI copilot right now. It answers questions and saves clicks. That buys you minutes. Your team still makes every engineering decision by hand, then documents it sheet by sheet.

You can’t hire your way out of that – there aren’t enough controls engineers to hire. Faster drafting won’t fix it either. What fixes it is engineering work that never has to be drawn by hand in the first place. That’s what Engineering Intelligence is for.

CAD + Copilot Engineering Intelligence
Helps you operate the software Helps you solve the engineering problem
Retrieves information Applies engineering knowledge
No record of why Every decision logged and auditable
Outcome: faster drafting Outcome: documentation generated from the approval
02 – What it costs you today

More than half of electrical engineers have no time to innovate. Their time goes into documentation.

53.9%
of electrical engineers say they have no time for innovation.
12.6%
currently prioritise AI in their toolchain. Teams that move now help define the category instead of catching up with it.

A typical engineering day, before and after. Same job, very different shape.

Illustrative

Today 08:00 – 17:30
08:00 Read the spec, chase open requirements
09:30 Copy the last similar job, strip what doesn’t apply
11:00 Draw the schematic sheet by sheet
14:00 Size components, check standards by hand
16:00 Rework after a late hardware change
17:30 Update terminal plans, wiring diagrams, revision list

Engineering decisions 20%
Drafting & rework 50%
Manual documentation 30%

Most of the day goes into documenting decisions that were made in the first hour.

With ELECTRIX OS 08:00 – 10:15
08:00 Define objectives, constraints and standards
08:40 Review the proposed architecture
09:20 Change two decisions, re-validate
09:50 Approve
10:00 Documentation is generated automatically
10:15 On to the next project

Validation & approval 20%
Manual documentation 10%

The day belongs to decisions. Documentation is an output of the approved design, not the work itself.

03 – How it works

Four steps. Far fewer than today.

STEP 01

Define

Objectives, constraints, standards, preferred hardware – in your words, not in symbols.

STEP 02

Generate

ELECTRIX OS proposes the engineering architecture and shows the reasoning behind every decision.

STEP 03

Validate

You review, change what you disagree with, and approve. Nothing moves without your sign-off.

STEP 04

Document

Schematics, BOMs and reports are generated in your E-CAD system automatically.

04 – Knowledge that stays

Your best engineering knowledge lives in a few senior heads. And they’re getting close to retirement.

Why was the main breaker sized that way? Why that terminal layout? Today the answer usually isn’t written down anywhere. It’s tribal knowledge.

ELECTRIX OS records the constraints, the reasoning, the code references and who approved each decision. Experience becomes documented company knowledge that your next hire can build on – and it stays on your own machines or servers.

You can of course store your own design guidelines as well. Projects are then checked against them automatically, every time.

05 – For engineers

You became an engineer to make decisions. Not to operate CAD software.

ELECTRIX OS puts you back where the engineering happens. You conduct the system instead of playing every instrument yourself – and you decide what the technology does, not the other way around.

06 – Proof

The AI foundation has been in production use since 2024.

Measured with ELECTRIX AI, WSCAD’s AI-powered electrical CAD software and the foundation ELECTRIX OS is built on. ELECTRIX AI covers six engineering disciplines in one system. These figures show WSCAD’s AI working in real engineering practice today; they are not a performance claim for ELECTRIX OS.

Design partner programme

Help shape a new software category before it hits the market.

ELECTRIX OS launches in 2027. Until then, we’re accepting a limited number of companies as design partners. You work directly with our engineering team on your real projects, so ELECTRIX OS is built around your use cases – not our assumptions.

What you get

  • A say in the roadmap: your use cases decide what gets built first.
  • Early access ahead of general availability.
  • Early-bird pricing at launch.
  • A direct line to our development team.

Who it’s for

  • OEMs, machine builders, system integrators and control panel builders with recurring, high-variant projects
  • One real project we can work on together
  • A point of contact from engineering with 2–4 hrs/month
  • Teams on AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or other E-CAD are welcome

08 – FAQ

Questions engineers ask first.

What is Engineering Intelligence?

Engineering Intelligence is the next stage of AI in engineering: a system that reasons about engineering intent – objectives, constraints, standards – and proposes and validates real engineering decisions, rather than just retrieving information or running a command faster. ELECTRIX OS is WSCAD’s implementation of Engineering Intelligence.

What is ELECTRIX OS?

ELECTRIX OS is WSCAD’s AI-native engineering platform: a layer above electrical CAD that holds engineering intent – objectives, constraints, standards, preferred hardware – and proposes an engineering solution. Drawings and documentation are generated from the approved solution instead of being the work itself.

Does it replace my current CAD software?

No. ELECTRIX OS is designed to sit above the electrical CAD you already run and hand the approved result downstream for automatic documentation. Your existing schematics, libraries and workflows stay in place. Today it runs on ELECTRIX AI; compatibility with additional systems will be announced as it becomes available.

Do I have to hand over my engineering know-how?

No. The objectives, constraints, standards and methods ELECTRIX OS works from are your company’s engineering know-how. That knowledge can be stored locally, on your own machine or server. Using the platform does not require it to be processed in a public or external cloud. Every decision is recorded, so it can be reviewed and audited later.

Will AI replace electrical engineers?

No. The engineer defines objectives and constraints and approves every decision – nothing reaches a drawing sheet without sign-off. What changes is the balance of the work: less manual documentation, more engineering judgement.

How is this different from a CAD copilot?

A copilot retrieves information and helps you operate the software faster. Engineering Intelligence software like ELECTRIX OS applies engineering knowledge, works with requirements and standards, and collaborates on the solution itself. The difference: a copilot helps you use CAD faster; ELECTRIX OS helps you solve the engineering problem, then generates the documentation in CAD automatically.
