Cabinet Engineering

The Cabinet Engineering discipline provides extensive support for designing and laying out cabinets. This includes precise component placement, collision checks for objects, and the calculation of wire lengths and routes during the planning phase. The filling level of cable ducts is always visible. Drilling data for bulk items, such as mounting rails, can be configured easily via a dedicated dialog. The integrated 3D view improves spatial awareness of the cabinet. All generated data is available for producing wire and cable bundles, label printing, mounting plates, and cabinet doors on NC machining centres.

A particularly useful feature is the ability to create cabinet layouts from external electrical CAD data without pre-existing schematics. A wizard reads terminal charts, material lists, and connection lists and matches them against the WSCAD database — offering a new degree of flexibility for cabinet builders who wish to create layouts in WSCAD using data from other electrical CAD systems.
