Time-consuming searches through extensive documents are no longer necessary: the required information can be queried directly and precisely via AI Copilot, for example: “Who is the key user of the project?” or “Which terminal manufacturer is specified?”. This feature is particularly useful for symmetrical systems, parallel functional circuits, or redundant machine modules. Automatic mirroring prevents swapped connections or alignment errors that often occur during manual processing.

Clicking on a component in the schematic automatically opens the corresponding record in the Material Explorer. This makes it easier to check technical parameters, part details, and variants. In large projects with many components, this greatly improves orientation.

With ELECTRIX AI 2026, multiple path macros can be placed automatically and rule-based in the schematic using AI support. The software identifies suitable free areas in the schematic and independently selects appropriate insertion points, resulting in a clean, evenly structured layout.

It allows precise distance and length measurements directly within the cabinet layout – a valuable aid for positioning components, routing wires, or arranging mounting plates.

With the latest version of ELECTRIX AI, complete 2D control cabinet layouts can be automatically generated based on existing schematics. The AI is specifically trained to recognize patterns and similarities in existing projects and efficiently transfer this knowledge to new project variants. After selecting the relevant schematic pages, the software automatically identifies the required parts and places them – including mounting rails and components – in a structured layout on the mounting plate within moments.
This functionality is currently available as a beta feature. Therefore, the automatically generated results should be reviewed and, if necessary, fine-tuned before final approval. Even at this stage, the AI already provides significant support in accelerating the creation of standardized project variants. By focusing on similarity recognition for standard products, it is particularly well suited to efficiently automating repetitive routine tasks in variant design.
