Enhancing building automation and electrical design: WSCAD at Light + Building 2024

WSCAD will showcase the expanded capabilities of its ELECTRIX ROCKET, a cutting-edge electrical CAD solution tailored for electrical designers, switchgear manufacturers, building management, automation and electrical design experts, at the Light + Building trade fair at the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Center from March 3rd to 8th, 2024.

This optimized building automation module is engineered to address the complex requirements of building automation projects. It supports compliance with VDI 3814 (German guideline) and DIN EN ISO 16484 standards while providing the flexibility required for innovative system concepts. Key enhancements include the automatic generation of electrical schematics, state diagrams, and process function diagrams using intelligent info-linker symbols. In addition, more than 300 building automation macros enable users to significantly streamline design and documentation workflows.

ELECTRIX ROCKET further enhances digital building management through the AMEV Building Automation Control Twin (BACtwin) technology. This digital twin framework supports efficient building operation from the early design phase through commissioning and maintenance. It enables structured information exchange, promotes collaboration and transparency, and measurably improves overall project quality in the context of digital transformation.

Axel Zein, CEO of WSCAD GmbH, said:
“Our professional electrical CAD environment combines fast, consistent electrical design with transparent, cross-disciplinary workflows for building automation. Eliminating the need to capture components and data multiple times prevents inconsistencies and errors – resulting in substantial time savings.”

At Light + Building 2024, building automation design specialists and BACS companies involved in the design, implementation, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems will see how WSCAD software simplifies the creation of BACS automation schemes, logic flowcharts, and function lists. The seamless integration of building automation into WSCAD’s electrical engineering environment enables a continuous workflow – from electrical schematics to control cabinet design. Once data points are captured, they remain consistently available throughout the entire process, from sensor inputs and schematics through to controller programming.
